Pictures Benches

 

Benches come in all shapes and sizes, see pictures below. In wood, metal, plastic, concrete, stone or a mixture of materials and in a variety of colours. Some commemorate specific events that have taken place at or near their location. Benches are found in a vast variety of places: along hiking trails for resting weary legs and taking a snack, on lakeside shores and river banks for drinking in the sights, at airy heights affording marvellous mountain views and in secluded spots for romantic tête-à-têtes. In summer they look warm and welcoming, in winter they simply look forlorn. 
If only benches could talk. What tales they could tell of the innumerable encounters to which they have been silent witnesses!
