Whenever we’re out and about we pass them, they frequently catch our eye but
don’t always register in our brain. We often don’t have time – or take the
time – to stop, look, actually see and enjoy the imaginatively inspired, the
accidentally artistic, the totally quirky, the mundane yet fascinating or
even simply stunning sights that surround us. We’re not talking here of
nature’s blessings: magnificent mountains, flower-dappled meadows, splendid
seaside scenes or fabulous autumn forests but of the manmade elements that
surround us. Not that they can ever compete with Mother Nature’s phenomenal
skills, but they can give us great pleasure and often immense amusement,
brightening up our lives as we go about our daily business, wherever we live
and wherever we work. Let the eye-catchers catch your eye: it’s amazing what
there is to see if we really look! |
