From the image that people have of Switzerland - picture-postcard Alpine
pastures and its contented cows complete with tinkling bells - you’d think
that the Swiss had enough cows. But you’d be wrong. They keep creating more
– out of plastic. Of course these are not just any old plastic cows. The
Swiss, being very ingenious, place these colourful cows in strategic
positions to attract attention and to advertise an assortment of wares,
which often have absolutely nothing to do with farming, meat or milk. And
what’s more, these beautiful beasts are very well behaved and can be cleaned
