The Radisson Diamond is the largest twin-hull vessel ever built and its
catamaran-style design provides incredibly smooth sailing even in rough
seas. The Diamond has been called a “jewel of the sea”, offering sparkling
service in every respect. The spacious cabins have TVs and the splendid
marble bathrooms are complete with bath and shower. Dining is a delight in
the art-deco Grand Dining Room which offers tables for romantic twosomes.
Expect superb service, fantastic food and fine wine. An alternative is the
Restaurant Don Vito where diners are serenaded by the Italian waiters. Or
room service with dinners served in courses on your balcony. Daytime
entertainment is low-key without force-fed animation, and passengers are
happy to be able to make their own fun. In the evening, entertaining cabaret
acts and shows are staged in the Windows Lounge and Lady Luck may be waiting
in the casino. The Diamond Spa, fitness centre, outside jogging track, steam
bath, sauna and plunge pool and Jacuzzi cater for fitness fanatics and
beauty treatment devotees. Registered in the Bahamas, the ship was built in 1992 and is relatively small, carrying around 350 passengers and a crew of about 200. It has 12 decks, a length of 28 metres and tonnage of 20,295. It sails to destinations on the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. |
