Snowcats

Piste grooming machines and their drivers are the early-birds of ski resorts - up and running long before the ski lifts open, often working at night time. Just to make sure that you find perfect pistes to curve and carve down. These 400-horsepower, ten-ton monsters can travel at over 20 km/h and shift snow for hours on end. Not only grooming the pistes, but also gathering, storing and transporting snow when and where it’s needed. So next time you’re on the slopes give the driver a cheery wave and a thumbs up! He’s earned it!
